DESIGN:  At a mutually convenient time, we will meet at your property – usually for an hour or less – to get to know you and your project.  We want to know your taste, your needs, and your dreams.  We would like a copy of your survey (the ‘plat’ of your property) prior to meeting with you if it is available.  We also suggest that you consult our ‘Wish List’ to help organize your thoughts.

After talking with you, our staff can estimate the time it will take to complete your design, and the estimated design fee.  Upon acceptance, we then complete your site analysis, noting existing features, soil types, drainage, and exposures.  We take this information back to the drawing board.  Using our experience and creativity, we blend your desires with your site – creating a one-of-a-kind garden for you.  For a very affordable hourly fee, you now own a landscape plan from which to work.  You can be assured that your completed project will be a harmonious, practical, and individual landscape.

 

WISH LIST:  This short check-list will start you thinking about your landscape needs.

LANDSCAPE INSTALLATION:  We provide cost estimates at no charge from any existing plan.  We work within your budget.  You decide whether to do a turnkey installation, or to stage the work as your time and finances allow.  We select the very best plants for your job from wholesale growers in Virginia and North Carolina.  We hand mix our soil for every job!  Using a mixture of 50% leaf compost and 50% topsoil guarantees vigorous, healthy plantings.  We choose from a variety of mulching materials, depending on your site.  Our trained and experienced installation crews provide a first class job, with noticeable attention to detail from start to finish.

HORTICULTURAL MAINTENANCE:  Just call or e-mail for an appointment to assess your maintenance needs.  Our horticulturists follow Integrated Pest Management (IPM) principles, minimizing the use of pesticides wherever possible.  Our staff will analyze how many visits per year your property will require for pruning, weeding, fertilizing, mulching, pest control, and troubleshooting.  We can provide a quote for these annual services pro-rated into equal monthly installments, or bill for work completed each visit.
